看著電視上舖天蓋地的奧運新聞，我發笑，笑得眼淚也湧出來。

傳送奧運火炬的新聞持續多時，細緻入微到關心曾蔭權的手臂能否舉著火炬跑二百米，至於胡佳被指「顛覆國家政權」被判監三年半，只是一堆一堆奧運公關新聞的花邊。奧組委與電視台只想我們看到一個七彩繽紛的北京，充滿奇景，我看到新聞報導員展露的微笑，像個福娃。

有人說，廣州又出現「釘子戶」，不過，戶主潘偉業並不自認「釘子」，他說，他不過是要在荔灣區一間同等面積的舊房子。

潘偉業的家，是西關大屋，就是西關大少的西關，該幢位於康王路及龍津東路交界的房子，可以說，是歷史文物。潘家已住了三代人，房子本有了五戶人家，現在只剩一家七口。

1．事態嚴重

教育學院副校長陸鴻基近日透露多宗事例，並據此公開指控教育統籌局官員行為失當，多番干預院校自主及學術自由。這些指控如果屬實，則港人一貫珍而重之並受《基本法》保障的基本權利，已遭官員肆意侵犯和踐踏。由於事態嚴重，我們除了表示震驚和憂慮之外，更呼籲當局徹底調查今次事件，讓真相水落石出。

2．公開聆訊

深圳市龍崗區，煌星輕工制品廠，一家為迪士尼樂園生產紀念品的日資代工廠（OEM)，於去年(2006年)被揭發為血汗工場。迪士尼聞過則怒，不思改善工廠勞動條件，反而馬上停掉煌星廠的訂單，推卸企業責任，迫使工廠結業，引致工人失業！

據國際慣例，如代工廠被消費者團體查出有環保或勞工問題，品牌企業須繼續下單，給工廠一年緩衝期作改善，但這次迪士尼並沒有這樣做。

工廠於1月31日，突然宣告停產，約八百工人於年關之前失業！工廠現在拖欠每位員工社保基金，代通知金和遣散費等，少者數千元，多者二三萬元，涉及金額高達4-500萬元人民幣。

Despite without a license, a group of activists have run the Citizen's Radio for one year. Last night police and government officers suddenly raided this independent radio stations. They arrested a man and confiscated most equipment.

In response to oiwan's letter, I would like to make some remarks on the situation of Chinese rural migrant workers. The China government recently collaborated with international NGO, including ILO, to produce a TV drama series about the success story of rural migrant labor in Sichuan province. During my field study of the Chinese rural migrants, I met a lot of small business owners. Many see it as the only way out of the difficult situations as a cheap labor in the "World Factory". I haven't watched that TV drama series but I doubt if it is necessary for the government and NGOs to encourage the migrants to run small business.

Yahoo! auction site is a very popular portal in Taiwan. With 3.7 million items and the annual transaction value of NT$22 billion (2005), it owns most of the local market. It recently announced that all users will be charged 3% of transaction fees on most of the items. It aroused users' severe complaints and they accused Yahoo! of violating the Fair Trade Act.

Lam Heng Chi, the Hong Kong famous columnist, said that Chief Executive Donald Tsang learned the wrong lesson from Singapore. Instead of the experience of training political talents, Singapore's management system of foreign currency reserve is something we should learn. According to his calculation, the investment company that handles Singaporean government's foreign currency reserve achieves an annual gain rate as high as 9.5%. Since 1997, Hong Kong's foriegn currency reserve has increased only at 3.65% each year, from 90 billion to 120 billion.
