Indonesia: Multi-front attacks on Workers

On 20 August 2007, around 300 workers gathered and marched to 3 places at 3 different locations: the Ministry of Labour dan Transmigration, Supreme Court and Presidential Palace. The mass action was jointly organized by ABM (Alliance of Challenging Labour) with Federation of Indonesian Peasant Unions, Women Solidarity, Union of Indonesia Hotel Workers, and Indonesian Student Union.
Indonesia: Enough to be poor people!

On 29 August 2007, about 2500 people gathered at the heart of Central Jakarta for a mass action. These people are urban poor from all over Jakarta, mainly women, with young and elderly.
City of Sorrow
10 days ago (Oct 14, 2007), a mother took her two children's lives by throwing them out of the window and killed herself by jumping from the public housing high-rise. Almost every year, similar family strategy happened in Tin Shui Wai, a new town at the northwestern end of New Territories. Now the town is called “the town of sorrow”.
